Fabrication of Surgical Stents
An important component of the mini dental implant package from Shatkin F.I.R.S.T. is the surgical stent.· From the case plan, Shatkin F.I.R.S.T. technicians produce a surgical stent that will easily guide the placement of the implant. Our surgical stents provide the specific site(s) and the angulations for the implant placement.
During the mini implant procedure, the titanium metal sleeve in the stent is used to guide the pilot drill to the pre-determined mini implant location.· The same stent then serves to guide the actual placement of the mini dental implant. The accuracy provided by the surgical stent is crucial in achieving successful
results for the mini implant procedure. This results in patients receiving the most functional and aesthetically-pleasing results from their mini implant procedure, while dentists benefit from our well-crafted yet cost-effective product.
Fabrication of Final Restorations which Align with Surgical Stent
Your case plan from Shatkin F.I.R.S.T., with the surgical stent and placement instructions, can include an individual crown, multiple crowns, a roundhouse restoration or the denture(s) fabricated by Shatkin F.I.R.S.T..
By using our restorations with the individual surgical stent, ensures that the restoration will fit precisely together with the implant for superior results.
Full Zirconia, Porcelain Fused to Metal, IPS Empress & Porcelain Fused to e-max
At Shatkin F.I.R.S.T., we offer our clients a wide range of restorative options to ensure that patients receive the best treatment for their dental and aesthetic needs. Dentist and patient can work together to choose the material, shade, and type of restoration for their treatment, which are then custom-built for beautiful, long-lasting results.
- Porcelain fused to metal (PFM) can be color matched to the surrounding teeth of each individual patient. PFM crowns and bridges combine the benefits of all-metal and all-porcelain restorations for strong, durable and aesthetically-pleasing results.
- IPS Empress™ Restorations serve as a natural, highly supportive replacement for missing teeth, and can be used for crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers. Made of ceramic, these crowns have a translucent quality for a more natural look and are often used for the front teeth. These restorations are proven to last as long as 15 year
- Porcelain fused to e-max™ is a solid ceramic core material layered with low fusing porcelain providing a balance of versatility and simplicity.· These restorations, recommended for anterior region and veneers, offer a lifelike appearance that delivers the ultimate in metal free aesthetics and strength.
In addition to our permanent restorations, we produce FIRSTEMPS™· to provide patients with functional, cosmetic and structural coverage when they have several appointments for a multiple unit mini implant restoration.
Our instant temporaries are designed to be simply placed over the prepared teeth after final impressions have been taken. Though FIRSTEMPS™ are strong and durable to fully protect and support the prepared teeth, they also ensure these teeth are not altered after the final impressions were taken. This ensures that the patients can benefit from the most accurate results available.
